Ingredients
ingredient 1 - For masala powder - coriander seeds,red dry chillies, chana dal,fenugreek seeds
ingredient 2 - - cooked toor dal - 1cup, lemon–1,tamarind–1 small bunch, small onion- 5-7
ingredient 3 - mixed vegetables - 2 cups(carrot, drumstick, beans and potato)
ingredient 4 - oil - 2 tsp
ingredient 5 - curry leaves – 10, mustardseeds - 1/4 tsp, turmeric powder -1/4tsp,
ingredient 6 - broken red chillies–2,asafoetida-a generous pinch,salt to taste,coriander leaves -1
ingredient 7 - foxtail millet - 1 cup, water -2cups
Preparation
Step 1
Add tamarind water,vegetables,salt and sambar spice powder in a pressure cooker and cook till two whistles.
Step 2
Cook the foxtail millet, toor dal, turmeric powder, salt and water in another pressure cooker until two whistles.
Step 3
For seasoning, saute mustard seeds, cumin seeds, red chilli, curry leaves in ghee and keep aside.
Step 4
Add the spicy vegetable tamarind curry to the cooked millets and mix together till a mish mash.
Step 5.
Add the seasoning and transferthe bisibelle baat to a serving bowl.
